Local Organisers

Local Organisers are responsible for managing Local Hubs which look after a small local area, usually the size of one or two parliamentary constituencies.

Minimum Requirements for a
HolisticMap/F4HS Local Organiser


Functional
•    Pro bono, non-profit, voluntary
•    Register yourself on hMap and sign the Holistic Values Statement
•    Monitor every new Registration in your local area
•    Inform relevant local people and organisations of hMap and encourage them to Register
•    Register Public Bodies and Sacred Sites
•    Maintain your Locality Home Page on hMap
•    Join Local Organisers group on hHome
•    Feedback and share best practice with hMap colleagues

Interpersonal
•    Be a diplomatic and congruent ambassador for a holistic approach to modern spirituality
•    Have a basic attitude that positively celebrates diversity and welcomes the many different paths of spiritual development
•    An awareness of holistic best practice as described, for example, in the Spiritual Companions Guidelines (see F4HS website)

Optional Additional Activities
•    Organise local networking events
•    Be a resource for local news and networking
•    Participate in citizenship activities such as Interfaith and Holistic Spiritual Alliance

F4HS requires from you
•    A mainstream CV and brief statement of your spiritual approach (this is basic due diligence as you will be representing the movement)
•    A friendly, mutually supportive and open relationship

F4HS pledges to you
•    Practical – hand-holding on all aspects of Registration and hMap management
•    Personal – ongoing friendship and support; a growing community of like-minded, open-hearted people
•    Careful listening and response to feedback (eg Is there anything you feel should be added to this sheet?)
